Hutch was looking out for acquiring new subscriptions and expanding their client base in the western India region specially Mumbai. Apart from that they also wanted to give some value additions to their customers to buy their sim cards. Earlier Hutch had given various offers to their clients but all of them were linked to their own product like extra talk time, lower charges for talking between night and early morning, free sms etc. in all these above offers they were not actually giving out any tangiable product to the customers. |

Today it is very important that a customer gets to touch and feel that the gifts which he / she is receiving, also the customers wants to have good memories of the same. After a lot of research and also a report from IMRB which also indicated that holiday is a product which is quite appealing to people and inspite of the general myth that these offers are just not worth it, the study done by IMRB was very encouraging wherein it indicated that people actually look forward to these offers specially the youngsters. The idea of a holiday was taken up immediately by the concerned department which looks after the various promotions and TravelPort had a meeting with the heads of the post paid cards. Now Hutch is thinking to give the holiday offer with pre paid connections also as they are quite satisfied with the feed back received by the Vac Pac scheme. Other divisions of Hutch are keen to have this offer in their regions too. |
