When to Go
Its open all year round but the best wildlife sightings are in Feb,Mar,Apr (Heavy tourist traffic in May-Jun tends to scatter the mammala to some extent) & oct-nov.Mar-apr is also the time when flowers,especially the rhododendrons,bloom

Nearest Railhead:Kathgodam (126km/4.5hrs).Take the overnight Ranikhet express from delhi main station.Then take a taxi to almora (shared Rs125per person & full taxi Rs.500-550 in peak season;considerably less in the low season).From almora,get a taxi to binsar (sharing Rs.200 per person,full taxi Rs.500),upto the KMVN TRH,11km from ayarpani,where the sanctuary gate is.A costs Rs.1200 (peak season) & Rs.1000 (off season)
Road
Take NH24 from Delhi to Rampur via hapur & moradabad,then NH87 to kathgodam via rudrapur.Catch the state highway (Ranikhet-almora rd) to almora via bhowali,then the district rd from almora to binsar.It will take around 10hrs from delhi.Uttaranchal roadways runs a morning & evening bus service from ISBT Anand vihar.From almora take a taxi if staying within the sanctuary,as there is no public transport service beyond the gate
